A total of 45 students of Wadihuda Womens Academe attended the workshop on media literacy on today (12th January, 2019). Mahmmod Vaadikkal, Senior reporter of Madhyamam Daily facilitated the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to equip the participants with basic skills of news writing and the skills to analyze and evaluate information published in the media.
Mahmood Vaadikkal said, “News is flooded with information. It creates awareness, and gives correct information. Social media influence people but one need to be a media literate.”
“The workshop was very fruitful and informative, it broadened my knowledge in news writing,” said Shabnam TK, who was one of the participants.
