The International Islamic Psychology Colloquium, organized by the Department of Psychology at Wadihuda Women's Academe, brought together diverse voices to explore the profound impact of Islamic psychology on contemporary challenges.

Mr. Hamzah Abbas, esteemed Chairman of Ta'aleemul Islam Trust and Chief Editor of Gulf Madhyamam, set the stage with his eloquent inaugural address. He urged the audience to consider Islamic psychology as a transformative force, capable of weaving together faith and science to navigate the complexities of the modern world.

Mr. Farook Usman, General Secretary of Wadihuda Group, presided over the function, symbolizing the commitment to intellectual growth and community engagement.

Notable figures, including Mr. Musthafa Ibrahim, Secretary of Wadihuda Group, Shareef and N M Moosa Master, a trust member of Wadihuda Group, along with Mr. Subair, Head, and Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology at Wiras College delivered felicitations.

Taking center stage, renowned Islamic psychologist Mr. Wafi Shihad delved into the nuanced differences between secular and Islamic psychology. He presented Islamic psychology as a holistic framework, emphasizing its focus on spiritual well-being alongside emotional and cognitive aspects. Mr. Shihad's assertion that Islamic psychology could be a 'panacea' for diverse challenges ignited curiosity and fueled further discussion.

Managing Director, Mr. S A P Abdul Salam honoured Wafi Shihad with a memento, acknowledging his significant contribution to the field.

The event commenced  with a warm welcome address by Mr. Muhsin, Principal of Wadihuda Women's Academe.
Shimna Hanan, a final yearpsychologyy student, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the enriching experience.

The colloquium provided a platform for insightful discussions on Islamic psychology's relevance and its potential as a holistic solution to various societal challenges.
