ACADEMe held a commemoration of Vaikom Mohammed Basheer ‘ Basheer Smrithi’ on
Thursday. Writer V.H.Nishad inaugurated the programme.Principal Dr.Mishab
Irikkur delivered the presidential address. A documentary on Basheer , ‘Basheer
the Man’ directed by M A Rahman was screened. The prizes were distributed to
the winners of review competition based on Basheer’s novel
‘Ntuppooppakoranendaarnnu’. A skit based on the same novel was also held.
Abdussalam Nadwi, Vice Principal, welcomed the gathering. Safwana, Students
Union General Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.
