Protest gathering and Panel discussion was organized at WWA
on 16 October 2023 With supervision of our program conveners Rena Fathima and Jamshida to express our solidarity with the people of palastine..
The programme commenced with a heartfelt prayer led by Fathima Fidha ( Secretary GIO,WWA ), setting the tone for the day with hopes and blessings for the people of Palestine. The welcome speech led by Ameer Rahman (HOD Hifdhul Quran ) extended a warm welcome to all the attendees and expressed gratitude for their presence. Followed by presidential address led by Muhammad Muhsin CA ( Principal WWA) delivered a thought-provoking address, outlining the mission and goals of the event .The inuagration was carried out by CK Munawir ( Secretary,Welfare party, kannur District) who symbollically marked the beginning of the program. In his powerful keynote address, he shed light on the dire conditions in palestine and the cruelty inflicted by the israel forces and Shahina Abdul Salam (staff secretary of WWA) felicitated the function and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in raising awarenessand This section ended with the group song by our students.
We have conducted panel which explores the various dimensions of the palestinian issue. The discussion was moderated by Ameer Rahman, who expertly guided the conversation and Shiyas H (Director of Ibn Hythm Academy), Ladeeda Farzana (student writer and activist of Jamia Millia university, invitee of Harvard university) and Muhsin CA (principal of WWA ) the panelists brought diverse perspectives and insights to the table . Sincere prayer for the martyrs and injured was made under the leadership of Hafiz Ossama Hussain Al Ainy(Assistant professor of Arabic Department )who added to spiritual atmosphere of the whole gathering.This session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rena Fathima ( Program Convenor) . She expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers and attendees for their support and active participation in the programme. And we held protest gathering and express justice for palestine.
The Palestine Day program was a resounding success, driven by a passionate commitment to raising awareness and advocating for the people of Palestine. The keynote address, panel discussion and the protest gathering throughout the event underscored the importance of standing in solidarity with Palestine and working towards a just and peacful resolution to the ongoing crisis. The event served as a platform to foster unity, understanding and compassion for the palestinian cause.
