"Women should get empowered in various sectors of the society" - Afeedha Ahammed. The GIO State President Ms. Afeedha Ahammed opined that the contemporary social scenario demands women to be empowered politically, educationally and socially. She was delivering the inaugural speech at a seminar conducted by the Students Union of Womens Academe, Muttam on the occassion of International Women's Day. Kannur University research scholar Ms Nasreena Illyas and Central University research scholar Ms. Jainsy John lectured on the topic - Women Empowerment - Inside and Outside. The function was presided by the Students Union Chairperson Fathimath Selma. Ms. Noora proposed the vote of thanks.
